An effective and practical tool to assess physical frailty in older adults: Turkish validation of the FRAIL scale

Objective: Practical scales with tested validity and reliability are needed to clinically determine frailty.The aim of this study is find out whether the Fatigue, Resistance, Ambulation, Illnesses, Loss weight (FRAIL) Scale an effective screening scale show frailty. Patients Methods: The Frail non-Disabled (FIND) validated in Turkish population was applied for FRAIL validation. Comprehensive geriatric assessment Fried Index were performed on 85 outpatients who 65 years older. patients examined terms comorbidity, number falls, living environment, drugs used, hospitalization last year. Results: had a high correlation FIND (correlation coefficients 0.956 0.934, respectively).
